What is art?
Art is simply an expression of the artist. As unique as a fingerprint. Being true to self in the work. Not attempting to conform to perceived expectations of others. No matter the style, there should be a recognition of a particular artist’s hand.
Think of it as visual poetry. You know when you read a poem and you’re, like, meh – doesn’t really speak to me? Or, you’re brought to tears, so moved, within seconds. Like that.
I’m galvanized when I feel the artist’s passion in a piece. It elevates.
